College Park Students for a Democratic Society

College Park SDS announces the kick-off of our campaign for a non-profit, University run bookstore in the Stamp!!!

The University Book Center contract is up for grabs, and the administration has started their closed-door process to sign a new one. Despite student objections Steve Gnadt (Stamp Business Manager) and Gretchen Metzelaars (Stamp Director) are refusing to consider a non-profit or co-op model that would save students money and give us more control over store inventory and labor practices.

We can’t let the administration make a decision this important without listening to students’ voices. Get involved and let’s tell the administration to do what’s best for students, not for shareholders!
